From the Department of Self-Promotion:
I'm interviewed in the Tupleo Daily Journal by the Religion editor regarding the celebration of Pentecost Sunday:
The Rev. Tim Sisk, pastor of Aldersgate United Methodist church in Starkville, said, "We see the day of Pentecost as the birthday of the church. It marks the beginning of the work of the church to take the gospel to the rest of the world."
...Sisk says United Methodists incorporate divergent views about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. "That's the neat thing about our tradition," he said. "Whether you're charismatic or high church, the experience of the Holy Spirit enables us to be more holy and to experience the grace of God more fully."
Despite the article's inclusion of me, its a good read. Follow the link and read the whole thing.
And yes, I did steal the category title from the Anchoress.
